Creative expression and working with my hands has been a focus of mine since an early age.

My first medium was clay. After finishing The University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Fine Arts, I went back to school for my BFA in Ceramics at The Kansas City Art Institute. My education continued with an MFA in Ceramics from Boston University’s Program in Artisanry.

After many years of running a successful studio pottery business, focusing on functional carved porcelain tea sets and vessels, it was time for a change. I returned to school at North Bennett Street School in Boston, to their jewelry program. It was wonderful to learn a new medium and new skills and to challenge myself to bring my aesthetic to a new realm. Jewelry has always been a love of mine and it has been exciting to develop a body of work that brings together that love with my many design influences.

I love creating well-crafted, beautifully designed objects. It is important to me to bring art and design into people’s everyday lives and surroundings. The intimacy of jewelry contributes a unique element to that desire.

Today, I create my jewelry in a small studio in Vancouver, BC Canada and sell to galleries and fine shops in North America.

I hope my work will have a special place in people’s lives, perhaps yours.
